SPEARFISH, S.D. – Black Hills State University (BHSU) will host its second annual Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Campus Green. The event is free, open to the public and held in conjunction with the Spring Music Festival.
A Day of Eco-Pleasant Activities and Live Music
The festival promises a diverse range of activities centered around sustainability and environmental awareness.

Davis added, I am excited to share that this year, the students organizing Earth Day are teaming up with the BHSU music Festival. Both events are going to be held on the campus green on April 26th. Attendees can explore sustainability booths, take part in eco-friendly crafts, and connect with campus and community organizations, all while enjoying live music and grate food.
Featured Speaker: Dr.Jacqueline Wyatt on the Vore Buffalo jump
Dr. Jacqueline Wyatt will be the featured speaker at the festival. She will give a presentation about the Vore Buffalo Jump, a important archeological site.
Did You Know?
The Vore Buffalo Jump is one of the moast vital archeological sites related to Late-Prehistoric Plains hunters from around 1550 to 1800. It provides valuable insights into the hunting practices and culture of these early inhabitants.
