18 months after one of the most daring robberies in the Rhodopes, the proceedings have been stopped and the materials have been sent by the prosecutor’s office to the police to identify the perpetrator, informs 24rodopi.com.

According to the official version, BGN 115,000 were seized from the home of a famous businessman from Kardzhali.
It all happens while the butcher’s boss is celebrating a barbecue in the yard with friends. His relatives are in the villa.
The house is near the businessman’s workshop, equipped with video surveillance, guarded by huge dogs.
The robbery took place at around 8 pm on December 31, 2020.
As 24rodopi has already written, nearly BGN 600,000 have been raised in the most daring such acts in the Eastern Rhodopes in recent years, and no one has been detained or convicted since the beatings. Most of the investigations have been terminated.
A year before the robbery of the businessman, in the first days of January, BGN 400,000 were raised from the penthouse of a Kardzhali hotelier. The absence was established days later, when the signal was given.
The investigation was terminated due to the expiration of the term. However, it will be resumed in the presence of new details and evidence in the case, the state prosecution told our team.
The morning of November 27, 2013. Two armed men entered a bank branch in the center of Kardzhali, begged the security guards, employees and a client, and minutes later left with BGN 40,000 and EUR 1,000.
More than eight years later, no one has been detained for the daring robbery in broad daylight in the regional Rhodope town.
