They are a popular snack between meals: pumpkin seeds. Kaufland is now recalling a manufacturer’s product. The reason: Salmonella was detected in one batch.
Nutwork Handelsgesellschaft mbH calls out “K Classic Pumpkin Seeds natural” with the Best before date (Best before) March 20, 2021. The affected product was sold in Kaufland stores.
As reported by the manufacturer and Kaufland, a batch was carried out as part of a self-inspection Salmonella proven. We strongly advise against consuming affected pumpkin seeds.

Salmonella disease manifests itself within a few days after infection with diarrhea, abdominal pain and occasionally vomiting and a slight fever. Infants, young children, the elderly and people with a weakened immune system in particular can develop more severe disease courses.
Kaufland has taken the affected product out of sale. Purchased items can be returned in all Kaufland branches. The purchase price will be reimbursed even without presenting the receipt.
