The manifestations, he continued, are indeed various, such as cracks, herpes on the tongue, and fungus on the tongue.
However, dr. Anton said this could not be concluded specifically.
Anton explained, for mild to moderate symptoms, the tongue color tends to be red with a white surface.
Meanwhile, in patients with severe Covid-19 symptoms, the tongue color tends to be pale with a yellowish surface, accompanied by pain in patients with moderate to severe symptoms.
According to Anton, the pain on the tongue that arises from Covid Tongue can affect the appetite of Covid-19 patients.
“For treatment in general, covid treatment must be carried out according to standards and maintaining oral hygiene,” said Anton.
The symptoms of Covid Tongue were also explained by the Chairperson of the Covid-19 Task Force of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Prof. Dr Zubairi Djoerban.
Through his Twitter account, he explained that the new symptoms of Covid-19 Covid Tongue do indeed resemble canker sores.
