Beware of cold symptoms .. 22 global health advice to avoid infection

The World Health Organization sent many warnings and important advice to citizens around the world to protect them from infection with the new Coronavirus, which appeared in China and spread to other countries.

Masrawy publishes these advice, which were directed by the World Health Organization – according to its website:

I. Reducing the risk of infection with the Coronavirus:

Clean your hands with soap and water or rub them with alcohol.

Covering the nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing.

Avoid close contact with anyone who suffers from cold or flu symptoms.

Cook meat and eggs thoroughly.

Avoid unprotected contact with wild animals or farm animals.

Second – protecting yourself from injury:

– Wash your hands after sneezing or coughing, and when you care for patients, before, during, and after preparing food, before eating food, after using the bathroom, and when the hands are dirty, and after dealing with animals or animal waste.

Avoid unprotected contact with patients and do not touch the eye, nose or mouth, and do not interact directly with farm animals or wildlife.

Three- Protecting others from injury:

Cover the mouth and nose with tissue, elbow or sleeves during sneezing or coughing.

Dispose of the napkins in a basket immediately after use.

Clean your hands after sneezing or coughing while caring for the sick.

IV- Working in wet markets:

Wear protective gowns or gloves and protect the face while handling animals and animal products.

Remove protective clothing after daily washing and leaving it on the job site.

Avoid exposing family members to dirty clothes and work shoes.

After washing animals and animal products, wash your hands often with soap and water.

– Disinfection of equipment and work area at least once per day.

Fifthly, shopping in wet markets:

– Wash your hands with soap and water after touching animals and animal products.

Avoid touching the eye, mouth and nose.

Avoid dealing with sick animals.

Avoid contact with stray animal waste and liquids on the market.

Sixth: Ensuring Food Safety:

Even in areas where meat products are highly prevalent, they can be safely consumed if these items are well cooked and handled properly while preparing food.

Sick or dead animals should not be eaten.
