Three new shipments with 414,000 units of CanSino single-dose vaccine will arrive in the country between Monday and next Wednesday, which will be applied to populations with difficult access, thus Argentina exceed 84.7 million doses received since the start of the coronavirus vaccination plan.
According to the Ministry of Health, the first shipment with 124,000 vaccines landing on Monday at 6 aboard KLM flight KL701, while the remaining shipments will arrive on Tuesday and Wednesday at 2.55, through Qatar Airways flight QR8157, with 124,000 and 166,000 units, respectively.
“These vaccines with a single application scheme will make it possible to increase vaccination coverage against Covid-19 in populations with difficult access,” said the Ministry of Health in a press release released in the last hours.
In this way, Argentina will exceed the 84.7 million doses received since the beginning of the national strategic plan against Sars-CoV-2.

According to the provisions of the Federal Health Council, these single-dose vaccines will be used throughout the national territory to advance the coverage strategy for populations with difficult access, such as homeless people, migrants, refugees, and other dispersed collectives.
With these shipments, Argentina will reach 84,756,990 vaccines received since the start of the Vaccination Plan promoted throughout the country by the national government, of which 1,014,000 will be from the CanSino firm.
The CanSino laboratory vaccines are applied in populations that are difficult to access.

To date, 84,342,990 doses have entered the country: of that total, 14,683,210 correspond to Sputnik V (10,125,655 from component 1, and 4,557,555 from component 2), and 4,914,500 to Sputnik V produced in the Argentina for the Richmond laboratory (1,179,625 for the first component, and 3,734,875 for the second).
The AstraZeneca firm corresponds to 25,188,400 doses (580,000 from Covishield; 1,944,000 received by the COVAX mechanism, 19,912,000 from AstraZeneca and Oxford whose active ingredient was produced in Argentina; 2,202,800 donated by Spain, and 549,600 by Canada ). Meanwhile, 30,000,000 correspond to the Sinopharm laboratory, 3,500,000 to Moderna donated by the United States, 600,000 to CanSino and 5,456,880 to Pfizer.
According to the Public Vaccination Monitor, updated this Saturday morning, 68,275,034 doses of coronavirus vaccines were distributed throughout the territory, while applications total 57,871,924.
A total of 32,608,819 Argentines started their vaccination schedule and 25,263,105 completed the two doses.
