Bethesda feels compelled to once again deny Starfield the PS5

A quote from Bethesdas Gamescom-stream created rings on the water and some interpreted it as that Starfield could come to Playstation 5 sometime in the future. Pete Hines said:

It’s not a “sorry, you’re never going to get to play anything by Bethesda again [situation]”. Certainly, there are going to be things that you’re not going to be able to play on Playstation.

He filled in with that Starfield “confirmed as Xbox exclusive” and added that he could not swear that Playstation and Bethesda were a closed chapter. He had no definitive answer to give us.

It’s understandable that Playstation gamers who are devoted fans of Bethesda’s titles grab straws, and saw Hine’s words as an opening. But no, Starfield released for PC and Xbox Series consoles. It emphasizes both Aaron Greenberg and Hines himself. “That was not what I meant”, says Hines while Greenberg says that no plans have changed – or will do so.

Starfield will be released on November 11, 2022 for PC and Xbox Series X | S.
