An 18-year-old was stabbed to death in Berlin-Lichterfelde on Sunday night. The suspects were arrested.

Berlin. When you think of Lichterfelde, the first thing that comes to mind is beautiful villas that lie on quiet cobblestone streets. The other side of the district is in the south, only a few hundred meters from the border with Brandenburg. The thermometer settlement is considered a social hot spot. Now it has become the scene of a horrible crime – an 18-year-old was stabbed to death on Sunday night on Réaumurstrasse.
Relatively little was known about the background to the crime on Sunday. The police only announced that around 1 a.m. at night, two groups of young men got into an argument on a green area not far from the Lichterfelde Süd S-Bahn station. The 18-year-old is said to have been stabbed. Alarmed rescue workers resuscitated him. A little later, however, he succumbed to his severe stab wounds in the hospital. Shortly thereafter, the police arrested four men aged 19 and 20 at the train station and handed them over to the 1st Homicide Unit, which took over the further investigations.
Similar case last spring in Zehlendorf
The case is somewhat reminiscent of the violent death of a 19-year-old last spring. He was also attacked and stabbed during the night by two adolescents. The crime in Zehlendorf’s Loebelpark on May 15 happened just a few kilometers from the thermometer settlement – but in bourgeois Zehlendorf. The case has been in the juvenile chamber of the Berlin district court since December.
