According to The Mirror the siblings grew up together in London. Benedict Cumberbatch (45) and Tracy Peacock (62), who both had an artistic side, grew up with actress parents Wanda Ventham (86), most recently seen in the TV series “Pendance”, and Timothy Carlton (86).
The latter appeared as Sherlock Holmes’ father in “Sherlock”, where the son has the main role. The siblings have a common mother, but Ventham got Tracy with her first husband, James Tabernacle.
In sorrow
Now “Spiderman” current Cumberbatch shares that the sister has passed away, after fighting cancer for seven years. To The Daily Mail, he describes the loss of his sister as terrible.
– She had nothing to do with this world. She was markedly different.

Furthermore, Cumberbatch describes his sister as a brilliant artist, who did a lot of restorative work on canvas and frames. He reminisces about the cards she made for special occasions, such as Christmas, which she made a lot of. The 45-year-old describes her as very gifted.
Sharing childhood memories
Despite Ventham and Tabernacle parting ways, teenager Peacock stayed with his mother and grew up with Cumberbatch.
Tracy often looked after her 17-year-old younger brother. Cumberbatch tells, among other things, of an incident from childhood, where Peacock walked from his little brother on a rooftop one cold day and “forgot him”.
– Well, it was fun. She was in the kitchen with her friends and suddenly she sees snow falling through the window, the actress says The Daily Mail.
