In addition to the National Guard, the powers of the Secretary of Homeland Security will include the Green Police, a unit which deals with environmental risks, the Green Patrol, which was under the Nature and Parks Authority, and the Land Enforcement Authority, which operates under the Treasury Department.
The deal also included extending the powers of the Ministry of Development of the Negev and Galilee to become responsible for the legalization process of casual settlement outposts in the West Bank.
