Belgium will temporarily stop vaccinating people aged 40 and younger with the Janssen vaccine. That reports the Flemish broadcaster GARDEN after a confirmation from Minister of Health Wouter Beke.
The decision was taken after the death of a woman of foreign nationality in a Belgian hospital. She had been vaccinated with the Janssen vaccine abroad and was under 40.
Nothing further has been announced about the cause of death, but according to the Belgian minister there is a connection with the vaccine.
“Because there is indeed a link between the death and the vaccine, we asked the European Medicines Agency to investigate the matter further. who are 40 years old or younger, “Beke told VRT.
