“Belgium adjusts corona measures, children infected parents go to school” | NOW

The Belgian crisis center has adapted national measures against the spread of the COVID-19 virus, writes The standard Wednesday. Among other things, the children of parents who are infected or possibly infected with the virus are allowed to return to school or to day care, provided that it does not show any symptoms of disease and whether the GP agrees.

The Belgian government announced last week that the measures would be extended, but that they would be relaxed. Do-it-yourself shops and garden centers were allowed to open their doors again, provided they took measures to make it possible to keep 1.5 meters away in the store.

In a document Frequently asked questions contain even more adjustments, writes The standard. For example, previously everyone had to keep 1.5 meters away from each other, unless people formed a family together. Now living groups and their supervisors no longer have to pay attention to mutual distance.

Previously, the 1.5 meters distance had to be maintained in buses and delivery vehicles, but now Plexiglas plates can also be placed between seats.

Pet hotels and shelters are allowed to open the doors again. Shelters are allowed by appointment to receive people who want to adopt or leave animals. Where veterinarians were previously obliged to postpone treatments as far as possible, this is now only advice.
