Belgian television speaks harshly about Spain: gives where it hurts

RTBF

A moment from the RTBF program.

Spain has started its participation in the Eurocup with doubts after drawing 0-0 against Sweden in a match that it dominated but in which it showed that it suffers a serious lack of goal.

The result increases the doubts towards La Roja, which had already been dragging since Luis Enrique made public the call in which many missed figures with more weight, such as Jesús Navas, Iago Aspas or Sergio Ramos.

Now Belgian public television RTBF has spoken about the Spanish team in all harshness. In a humorous program about the Eurocup, popular host Alex Vizorek highlights that, since 2012, when La Roja won the tournament, the team has been eliminated early from all the major championships in which it has participated.

In this sense, he emphasizes that the Spanish team has been “in the reconstruction phase” for nine years, referring to the period of doubts and discreet results after winning the 2008 and 2012 Euro Cups and the 2010 World Cup.

And, right after, the presenter emphasizes that those nine years are not bad when compared with the average duration of the great works in Spain. And as an example he puts the construction of the Sagrada Familia, which has been going on for 140 years.

In addition, Vizorek takes the opportunity to give the architect Santiago Calatrava a stick, by bringing out the infinite duration of the Gare de Mons, a project that started in 2004 in Belgium and that has not yet been finalized.
