Long-term commercial contracts, in addition to those concluded earlier, are out of the question in this case.
Belarus, within the framework of an emergency assistance agreement, has begun supplying electricity to Ukraine. About it informs Ministry of Energy of Belarus on Tuesday, November 2.
“On November 2, from 14:00 to 21:00, within the framework of the emergency assistance agreement, Belarus began supplying electricity to the Ukrainian energy system with a capacity of 500 MW. The supplies are carried out at the request of the Ukrainian side,” the message says.
It is noted that in this case there is no talk of long-term commercial contracts, in addition to those concluded earlier.
As previously reported, Ukrainian energy companies now have the possibility of purchasing electricity in Belarus. This was announced at a briefing on the results of a trip to the Zaporozhye region by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.
There will be no electricity imports from Russia and Belarus
