Belarus’ invasion of Ukraine – why Russia is trying to drag Lukashenko into the war – UNIAN

The Russian Federation cannot use only the potential of its so-called “second army of the world,” Alexander Kovalenko noted.

Russia is now experiencing a huge shortage of personnel in the war in Ukraine, and therefore by any means will try to draw Belarus into combat operations.

This was told by the military-political observer of the project “Information resistance” Alexander Kovalenko, reports 24 channel.

“They need any (human resource). Mercenaries from Syria did not come, as Bashar al-Assad promised about 15,000 people. They also did not come from Libya,” he said.

According to the expert, Russia cannot use only the potential of its so-called “second army of the world.” As Kovalenko noted, the Russian Federation does not currently have enough resources even for “cannon fodder”.

That is why the Russians will try to force Belarus to take part in the war against Ukraine. Including by terrorist attacks or other provocations.

Kovalenko is sure that Russia will not succeed: “They can use these provocations, but the Belarusians understand that any participation in this war for their army is a total defeat and shame. They will completely destroy their army in Ukraine.”

As UNIAN reported, on the morning of June 25 it became known that at night from the territory of Belarus Russia fired 24 missiles at military units and objects around Zhytomyr.
