Belarus and Lithuania cut off power lines

The tests are carried out to check the reliability of the Belarusian energy system, taking into account the planned exit of the Baltic states’ energy systems from the BRELL energy ring, which unites Belarus, Russia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

“Testing of the power system has begun in Belarus with the disconnection of cross-border power lines with Lithuania,” the statement says.
