The change of rivals is benefiting from the strategic layout of coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. Seven years ago, the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei became a national strategy, clarifying the positioning of Tianjin’s northern international shipping core area, and forming cooperation and dislocation development with ports in Hebei Province.

Tianjin Port is a “hundred-year-old port” with 130 container liner routes to more than 800 ports in more than 200 countries and regions around the world. In 2016, Tianjin Port Group and Tangshan Port Group jointly established Jintang International Container Terminal Company. In 2018, the Bohai Rim branch line from Tianjin to Caofeidian Comprehensive Bonded Zone was opened. Tianjin and Hebei ports have gradually moved from disorderly competition to competition and cooperation.

The sea-rail combined transportation between Tianjin Port and Hebei has solved the urgent needs of enterprises. Chen Jia, general manager of Shijiazhuang New Hengtong International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd., said that Tianjin Port has made great efforts in container transportation and other aspects. “The joint promotion of sea-rail transportation between the two places has reduced the time cost of transportation.”

After 7 years of advancing hand in hand, the internal feeder transportation network in the Bohai Rim with Tianjin Port as the center has begun to take shape. Tianjin Port and Tangshan Port, Huanghua Port, Caofeidian Port and other ports have formed a pattern of linkage, seamless connection, and mutual support.
