Beijing imposes up to 212 percent tariffs on Australian wines

The Chinese do not like the fact that Canberra prevented the anchoring of several Chinese cargo ships with a cargo value of Australian $ 800 million (12.95 billion crowns).

The official reason is that the Australian Association has no guarantee of how well these importers comply with environmental standards.

Another inconvenience for Beijing is that Australia has recently rapidly reduced its coal exports to China. While from January to August Australian exporters exported an average of 7.9 million tonnes of coal per month to China, in November it was only 390,000 tonnes.

The lack of coal negatively affects the production of Chinese steel products. There are supply disruptions and rising coal prices, both in China itself and in Mongolia, whose coal producers are trying to make up for.
