A fire broke out on Saturday evening within the Roger & Roger company in Mouscron. One of the production lines of this company, specializing in the processing of potatoes, was impacted.
We do not deplore any injuries. By 10:00 p.m., the fire was under control.
The emergency services of Picardy Wallonia were alerted on Saturday evening, at 9:05 p.m., that a fire had broken out in the facilities of the Roger & Roger company located at n ° 1 rue de la Bassée in Luigne, in the Mouscron entity. Coming from the local barracks, two pumper trucks, a tank truck, a ladder truck and a command vehicle were dispatched.
When the firefighters arrived, the personnel of the production line affected by the fire had already evacuated the premises. We do not deplore any injuries among personnel. The fire started in a thermal oil tank. The firefighters had to empty the tanks of nearby fryers before attacking the home.
At 10:00 p.m., the emergency services were in control. During the intervention of the firefighters, the other production lines were able to continue their activity.
