35 years ago, Marc Dutroux and Michelle Martin kidnapped their first victims.
Catherine, Sylvie, Maria, Axelle and Élisabeth are now between 46 and 54 years old. Long before Julie and Mélissa, Ann and Eefje, they were the first victims of Marc Dutroux and Michelle Martin.
They all say they will never forget, but they have rebuilt their lives trying to rebuild themselves after crossing the road to youth. Marcinelle Monster. The possibility that one day Dutroux gets out of prison makes them angry: “He’s a repeat offender!”
In April 1989, after three years of pretrial detention and following the confessions of an accomplice, the penalty fell for the accused: Marc Dutroux received thirteen and a half years’ imprisonment; Michelle Martin, five; and their six-year-old accomplice Jean Van Peteghem.
Thirty-five years after the first kidnapping perpetrated by Dutroux, in January 1985, DH plunged back into the history of these victims forgotten of the most hated man in the country. We remember that the prison did not prevent Dutroux and Martin from committing the atrocious acts for which they were sentenced to Arlon in 2004. We understand that Michel Lelièvre, recently released on conditions, had taken over the role held by Jean Van Peteghem ten years earlier. We also discover the story of these young women, the first victims of Marc Dutroux.
