Beds occupied by coronavirus grow in ten autonomous communities

The Ministry of Health has notified this Wednesday 8,866 Covid-19 cases, of which 4.410 have been diagnosed in the last 24 hours, compared to the 3,168 on Tuesday. In total, 543,379 people have already been diagnosed with Covid-19 in Spain.

Regarding the deaths, the new report published by the department directs Salvador Illa has registered 34 more deaths, 246 in the last week. Thus, the current number of deaths from Covid-19 in Spain rises to 29,628.

Currently there 8,398 patients admitted for Covid-19 throughout Spain and 1,131 in an ICU, although in the last 24 hours there have been 1,107 admissions and 884 registrations. The occupancy rate for beds occupied by coronavirus stands at 7.3 percent.

Likewise, the report published by Health shows that in the last 7 days there have been 2,060 hospital admissions (138,410 since the virus arrived in Spain) and 171 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with 12,660 people who have been admitted to these units since the pandemic began.

Autonomous communities

Of the 4,410 new cases, according to the Ministry of Health, 366 have been located in Andalusia, 281 in Aragon, 65 in Asturias, none in the Balearic Islands, 215 in the Canary Islands, 109 in Cantabria, 123 in Castilla-La Mancha, 64 in Castilla and León, 93 in Catalonia, 20 in Ceuta, 122 in the Valencian Community, 116 in Extremadura, 147 in Galicia, 1,728 in Madrid, 32 in Melilla, 71 in Murcia, 193 in Navarra, 633 in the Basque Country and 32 in La Rioja.

As for deaths, the department headed by Salvador Illa has already registered 1,550 deaths in Andalusia (37 in the last week); in Aragon 1,212 (one in the last seven days); in Asturias 338 (three in the last week); in the Balearic Islands 250 (eight in the last seven days); in the Canary Islands 189 (14 in one week); in Cantabria 227 (three in the last seven days); in Castilla-La Mancha 3,052 (six in the last week); and in Castilla y León 2,873 (20 in the last seven days).

Further, 5,773 people have died in Catalonia as a consequence of the coronavirus (four in the last seven days); in Ceuta, six deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic (one in the last week); in the Valencian Community 1,501 (20 in the last seven days); in Extremadura 538 (nine in one week); in Galicia 663 (18 in the last seven days); in Madrid 8,782 (80 in the last seven days); in Melilla three (one in the last seven days); in Murcia 164 (four in the last seven days); in Navarra 540 (four in the last seven days); in the Basque Country 1,587 (six in the last seven days); and in La Rioja 380 (seven in the last seven days).
