BEAT The Chasers’ Mark Labbett defended punching co-star Jenny Ryan.
The brainbox, 55, called the move “karma” after Jenny hit fellow Chaser Paul Sinha in January.
Jenny, also known as “The Vixen,” hit Paul with fury after getting a bad question on the second series of the ITV spinoff show, which aired in January.
This led fans to believe they had some real-life spinoff, but days later she responded to the rumors with a meme that confirmed they were still friends.
While everything seemed to have been forgotten, viewers were shocked when Mark decided to give Jenny a taste of her own medicine on the celebrity special this weekend.
And the quiz took to Twitter to justify his actions.
He wrote: “#BeatTheChasers for those wondering why I hit @jenlion on the arm, that was karma for his @paulsinha punch in the same situation the last set :). “
Mark decided to get his back when Jenny cost the hunters £ 30,000 on Saturday night.
Host Bradley Walsh asked the gang and Olympian Christine Ohuruogu a question about religion.
Jenny couldn’t help it and shouted the answer, and since she wasn’t the one who was supposed to answer, Christine moved on to the next round.
Mark was furious with what had happened and was taking matters into his own hands.
Before giving Jenny a light blow on the arm, he said, “Before I go any further, I have something to do…”
He added: “The wrong person answered! And the person’s wrong answers kill you. “
Runner Christine was joined by EastEnders’ Shaun Williamson, comedian Katherine Ryan, funnyman Joe Pasquale and TV presenter Radzi Chinyanganya for the very first celebrity edition of Beat The Chasers.
And Christine won’t be the only celebrity who manages to get her hands on a lot of money for the chosen charity.
The former Barry Evans actor managed to win £ 120,000 by taking on the five pursuers.
A happy Shaun said, “Honestly, inside I dance.
“It means a lot to the charity, thank you very much everyone. They are going to be so thrilled. It will help so many people. Thank you. “
