Beat Bodo/Glimt 4-0, Roma to Conference League Semifinals

AS Roma overcame Bodo/Glimt and advanced to the semifinals of the Europa Conference League. In the second leg of the quarter-finals, the Giallorossi won 4-0 to lead 5-2 on aggregate.

Competing at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome, Italy, Friday (15/4/2022) early in the morning WIB, Roma carried out a mission to catch up from the first leg. Previously, Jose Mourinho’s troops were bent 1-2. The debt was paid in full in the second leg.

Roma crushed Bodo/Glimt 4-0 in the second leg. Nicolo Zaniolo recorded a hat-trick, plus a goal from Tammy Abraham. Roma turned 5-2 on aggregate and qualified for the semifinals.

In the last four, Roma will face Leicester City. The Foxes advanced to the last four after ejecting PSV Eindhoven, 2-1 on aggregate. The semifinals will be held on April 28 and May 5, 2022.

The course of the match

Roma appear dominant over Bodo/Glimt. The game has only been running for five minutes, the goal was created by the host.

Tammy Abraham can break into the Bodo/Glimt goal. Utilizing a corner, his shot in front of the goal can send the ball in. Score 1-0 to Roma.

Two minutes later, Roma almost doubled the score. Again through Abraham, the striker who was bought from Chelsea was able to head home a ball sent by Nicolo Zaniolo, but his effort was denied by Haikin.

Roma practically control the game. In the 23rd minute, I Lupi scored the second goal. Zaiolo can convert Lorenzo Pellegrini’s pass into a goal, through a left foot kick in the middle of the penalty box. The score becomes 2-0.

Roma went crazy, with a third goal six minutes later. Zaniolo was again the scorer, after continuing Nicola Zalewski’s pass, in a quick counter-attack scheme. The 3-0 position lasted until the break.

In the second half, Rome immediately step on the gas. Four minutes after the break, they got the fourth goal quickly.

Starting from Bryan Cristante’s pass, Zaniolo was able to receive the ball, and continued it with a left foot kick. Goals, Roma lead 4-0 through Zaniolo’s hat-trick.

Left behind by four goals, Bodo/Glimt finally got out. Two threats tried to spread Ola Solbakken and Runar Espejord, but have not produced results.

Roma then replaced some of its pillars, considering that it had turned superior on aggregate. Zaniolo, Abraham, Pellegrini, Mkhitaryan and Zalewski were all withdrawn by Mourinho.

Substitution that loosened the attack Roma. There is minimal threat from the Serie A representative. Meanwhile, Bodo/Glimt also couldn’t maximize the situation, while still having difficulty pressing.

Until the game broke up, no goals were created again. Roma won 4-0 over Bodo/Glimt, thus qualifying for the semifinals thanks to a 5-2 aggregate lead.
