Beach Volleyball Show in Bikini is Protested, PPP Advises People to Turn Off the TV

Jakarta

One resident named Siti Musabikha protested the broadcast of the 2020 Olympics in sports Beach volleyball women, which was broadcast by one of the national private television stations (TV). Siti protested at the beach volleyball athletes who only wore bikinis.

Member of Commission I DPR RI from the PPP faction, Syaifullah Tamliha, also responded to the protest. Tamliha said the bikini was indeed the official attire for women’s beach volleyball.

“That is indeed the official attire for volleyball at the Olympics,” Tamliha told reporters, Wednesday (4/8/2021).

Tamliha also has advice for Muslims who are not happy with the women’s beach volleyball match. He advised Muslims to turn off the TV when the women’s beach volleyball match was broadcast.

“Just turn off the television, because Islam forbids watching someone’s genitals,” said the chairman of the PPP DPP.

As previously reported, Siti Musabikha assesses the 2020 Olympic games in sports Beach volleyball women contain bad things. According to Siti, there are other sports that wear closed clothes, which deserve to be broadcast in Indonesia.

Moreover, the broadcast of the women’s beach volleyball sport uses the broadcast time of the da’wah program. Siti Musabikha also protested this. He complained to the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI).

“Moreover, that time slot is usually used for Mamah Dedeh’s recitation, it’s a bit ironic actually. Many other Olympic branches (which are more polite in their clothes) can be broadcast,” Siti wrote in her complaint letter to KPI, as seen detik.com, Wednesday (4/8).
