BC accumulates 6,869 deaths from Covid-19; California 43,024: SS

– Baja California will continue on RED traffic light next week, they say.

TIJUANA.- The active cases of Covid-19 registered a decrease in Baja California, from 1,009 cases that there were yesterday Friday, this Saturday the figures stand at 979, highlighted the Secretary of Health in the State, Alonso Pérez Rico.

He updated that there are already 6,869 deaths due to the coronavirus, 41,649 accumulated confirmed cases and 75,616 cases studied by laboratory since the pandemic began last year.

The Secretary of Health indicated that the average number of deaths per day in the entity is 20.5, that there are 118 people with artificial automatic ventilation fighting for their lives in the different Covid-19 hospitals.

He added that there are already 52,374 adults registered through the platform to receive the coronavirus vaccine and that the State will remain on a RED traffic light this week and next, for which he asked not to relax sanitary measures.

Regarding the Covid-19 panorama that California lives, the Secretary of Health mentioned that a total of 558 deaths due to the virus were registered in 24 hours, while 14,021 new confirmed cases accumulated in the same period.

He said that there are already 43,024 deaths registered in California and 3,308,468 confirmed cases since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
