TSG Hoffenheim is annoyed by the fact that Bayern Munich is taking talent away from fellow clubs. That can be addressed, director Frank Briel tells Kicker.
Bayern is known for taking the best players away from the competition. Partly for this reason, the club is so often champion in Germany. Hoffenheim also sees two young talents leave for Bayern: Armindo Sieb and Main Sanyang. Bayern caused irritation at Hoffenheim, because Sieb was already medically examined in April. The player did not have permission from Hoffenheim.
It is not new that Bayern steals talent from the competition. But Briel hopes that will change. “It is worthwhile to have a discussion about how Bayern, with sales of three quarters of a billion, is so active in recruiting talent,” said Briel.
“This may be smart from a business point of view, but it affects us because we do all the work.” According to Kicker, Bayern achieved a turnover of 713.8 million euros for the year 2018/2019 and Hoffenheim ‘only’ 161.7 million euros.
Top talent Tanguy Kouassi also moves from Paris Saint-Germain to Bayern.
