Bavarian customs in the Europa Center in Berlin – Samerberger Nachrichten

“Alphorn Bavaria Berlin” and Allgäu Trio in the Europa Center – At this year’s International Green Week in Berlin, Bavaria presented itself not only in the Bayernhalle, but also in the Europa Center on Breitscheidplatz, right next to the Memorial Church. Music bands and costume dance groups met in the foyer of the West City shopping center after their performances at the fair.

In addition, the alphorn ensemble from the “Bavarian Association in Berlin” framed some performances with alpine sounds. A Swabian trio of musicians from the Unterallgäu, visiting Berlin, also offered to support the presentation of Bavarian traditions in the Europacenter. It is a chance acquaintance of the chairman of the “Bavarian Association in Berlin”, Helmut Amberger, at a Ziach seminar in Krumbach/Swabia. So it came about that Alphorn-Bavaria-Berlin organized an evening in the Europa Center with the guests, the Trio-ART (Anton-Rosi-Tila) from Ochsenhausen near Memmingen. First, the musicians delighted the audience in the foyer of the shopping center. After that, things got really lively in the Kartoffelkiste, the Bavarian restaurant on the 1st floor of the center. The landlords Brigitte and Franz Thyes offer down-to-earth, seasonal cuisine in their rustic restaurant, as well as hearty Bavarian delicacies. Among the guests was the Musikverein Aichach, which previously had its stage appearance in the Bayernhalle of the Green Week. With original Bavarian-Swabian pub music to sing along to, hearty food and Bavarian beer, you could experience the Bavarian way of life at its best in the Kartoffelkiste. In between, alpine sounds from the alphorn ensemble of the “Bavarian Association in Berlin” gave the evening the character of a home evening in the Allgäu mountains. The next day, Toni Hötzelsperger, organizer of the stage program in the Bayernhalle, even included the trio from Styrian Toni in his stage program at short notice.
