Deggendorf – Deadly bath drama in Lower Bavaria!
On Sunday afternoon, a four-year-old boy drowned in the Danube in Langkünzing near Deggendorf. The four-year-old and a second boy were swept away by the river around 2:30 p.m.
While the second boy was rescued alive from the Danube, the four-year-old had disappeared.
A large number of rescue workers found the child in the river around 4 p.m. Not far from where the parents last saw their boy. The Danube, which was very cloudy due to the flooding, made the search much more difficult.
The four-year-old’s parents had to be looked after by the crisis intervention team.
