Bastrykin personally instituted proceedings against two generals of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

MOSCOW, April 2 – RIA News. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the deputy chief of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Major Generals of Justice Alexander Biryukov, Alexander Krasovsky and senior investigator for particularly important cases of the Investigative Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Alexander Bryantsev.

The decision to initiate proceedings was signed on April 1 personally by the chairman of the UK Alexander Bastrykin. It is investigated under part 3 of article 285 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power).–

From the materials available to RIA Novosti, it follows that in April 2019, suspects seized a criminal case instituted against Albert Khudoyan, the owner of Optima Development, in order to receive remuneration.

This businessman was accused of fraud – theft of the right to long-term lease of three land plots in Moscow from the Manfield Exclusive Executive company. Biryukov wrote memoranda to his boss, deputy minister Alexander Romanov stating that the Khudoyan case must be referred to the investigative department of the Russian Interior Ministry.

The case was transferred to Bryantsev. In October last year, Biryukov, Krasovsky and Bryantsev petitioned to transfer Khudoyan to house arrest, which was done by the Tverskoy court in Moscow last November.

As a result, the arrest was removed from three land plots, and they were returned to Khudoyan themselves. Their value is estimated at no less than 2.2 billion rubles.

All three FSB officers searched the place of residence.

RIA Novosti does not yet have an official comment.

In turn, Khudoyan’s lawyer, Alexander Khudabeyda, told the agency that his client did not transfer bribes to the generals of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for transferring them from house to house arrest.
