The federal office which was to rule on the Baba Tandian case this Saturday, decided to reduce the penalty from 10 years to 3 years including 6 months firm.
A decision justified by the need to pacify the basketball community, according to the president of the Senegalese basketball federation, Me Babacar Ndiaye, who spoke after the meeting. As a result, the president of the Saint Louis Basket Club will be able to resume his functions in October 2020.
As a reminder, Mr Tandian, president of the Saint Louis Basket Club, had been suspended for breach of the integrity of the FSBB. And after mediation by Senegalese basketball players, the president had promised to bring the file to the federal office table to study the case again.
