Barnes goes to Blue Jays instead with Mets

The Toronto Blue Jays acquired right-hander Jacob Barnes from the New York Mets on Saturday in exchange for right-hander Troy Miller.

The 31-year-old Barnes made 19 relays for the Mets this year, going 1-1 with two saves and a 4.27 ERA. The right-hander has thrown 12 blank stages on the season and has a 5BB / 18K rate in 18.2 innings, for a WHIP of 1.29.

The 24-year-old Miller has made six starts and a relief between Advanced Class-A Vancouver and Double-A New Hampshire in the year, combining for a 3-2 record with a 4.93 ERA.
