For 15 years, swimming from Lake Ummja in Carnikava region from June 1 to August 15 has been forbidden to protect the fragile Dortmanis lobby from extinction. However, this summer, despite the threat of severe fines, the lake was teeming with natural disasters – they were both swimming there and entering the forest by car. A weak excuse would be that it is the only reservoir in its vicinity, but there are countless other lakes and a seaside beach right next to it, where you can swim without grief.
