Chance Barcelona to win LaLiga this season is very small. Luis Suarez judge that the failure of the league champions themselves mistakes.
Barcelona is second in the LaLiga standings with 79 points. The Blaugrana are four points behind Real Madrid at the top which collected 83 points.
LaLiga 2019/2020 has only two matches left. Madrid can be crowned champion if they defeat Villarreal on Friday (7/17/2020).
Barca actually could lead the standings with a two-point advantage from Madrid. The situation changed when the competition resumed after the suspension due to the Corona virus pandemic.
Barca won three draws from the last nine matches. On the other hand, Madrid wiped out its last nine games with a win.
“In the League you have to be self-critical: we let it escape from us. We realize it all depends on ourselves and don’t look for any reason,” Suarez told Mundo Deportivo.
“Now, for our pride and for Barca’s prestige, we must win the remaining two matches and focus entirely on the only title we can win, the Champions League,” he continued.
Three draws obtained by Barca after LaLiga rolled again occurred against Sevilla, Celta Vigo, and Atletico Madrid. However, the draw which Suarez regretted against Celta.
Barca are in a 2-1 lead through a pair of Suarez goals. Iago Aspas destroyed Barca with a 2-2 equalizer in the 88th minute.
When against Atletico, Barca also waste the chance to win. After twice winning, they conceded twice also through the penalty spot.
“We lost the opportunity, against Sevilla, Celta Vigo and Atletico Madrid. Aspas’ goal in the match against Celta was very painful, because we lost a great opportunity,” Suarez lamented.
