FC Barcelona and Juventus reached an agreement on Monday about the transfer of Arthur Melo. The 23-year-old midfielder moves for at least 72 million euros to the Italian club of Matthijs de Ligt.
The transfer fee can go up to 82 million euros through bonuses, FC Barcelona reports on its site. Arthur completes the current season completely in Spain and then moves to Turin.
Chances are that midfielder Miralem Pjanic (30) will quickly take the opposite direction.
Arthur has been playing for Barcelona since the summer of 2018, which paid 31 million euros to Brazilian Grêmio. The twenty-time international of Brazil has so far come to 72 official matches and two goals for the Catalans.
This season, Arthur, with Frenkie de Jong as the new competitor, provisionally came to 28 matches in all competitions.
