Barcelona Failed in the Europa League, Lewandowski Angry with Ansu Fati?

Jakarta

Changing room Barcelona reportedly “hot” after the defeat to Manchester United. Robert Lewandowski and Ansu Fati said to be involved in the debate.

Barcelona fell 1-2 when they visited MU at Old Trafford in the second leg of the Europa League playoff. Barca threw away the advantage through Lewandowski’s penalty goal in the first half, after conceding two goals in return from Fred and Antony.

With that result Blaugrana failed to qualify for the last 16 of the Europa League after losing 3-4 on aggregate. This means Barca will not play in Europe for the rest of this season having already run aground in the Champions League group phase.

Lewandowski ended the match at home to MU in anger. Report AS revealed that the Polish football superstar was upset because Ansu Fati grabbed a crossing ball aimed at him in injury time. In the process, Fati’s finish widened.

Lewandowski’s anger is believed to be mounting because it is not the first time Ansu Fati “seize” the opportunity. A similar incident occurred when Barcelona won 2-1 at home to Real Betis earlier this month.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich bomber then rebuked Ansu Fati in the Barcelona locker room. Lewandowski expressed his disappointment well and asked Ansu Fati to be more careful so that in the future he would not harm Barcelona.

Fati himself reportedly defended himself. The 20-year-old forward said he had not seen Lewandowski and he believed he was in a better position to finish the chance.

Anyway Robert Lewandowski and Ansu Fati now have to be more compact on the field. Barcelona still has two domestic trophies to win: LaLiga and the Copa del Rey. In the League, Barca are firmly on top of the standings with an eight-point advantage over Real Madrid and are in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey by facing Madrid.
