The 5,500 terraces of restaurants and bars in Barcelona are completing their set-up this Sunday to reopen on Monday, when the city enters phase 1 of the de-escalation, while the city council reinforces the municipal services and asks citizens for responsibility and prudence. In a press release, the Catalan capital’s consistory assures that the phase change is supported by health data that indicates a downward evolution of the pandemic figures and that the city council has reinforced municipal services, including transport and cleaning, to carry it out with “all security measures for citizens”.
Despite this, it calls on citizens to act with prudence and responsibility in this new context of de-escalation, “because the coronavirus is still in active circulation.” Less than 24 hours from change phase, The Barcelona City Council reminds that as of Monday the time slots for going out into the street are still in force: from 6 to 10 am, walking and sports for citizens between 14 and 70 years old; from 10 to 12 for over 70 years; from 12 to 19 for children together with adults from their family unit; from 19 to 20 for people over 70 and from 20 to 23 again for walks and sports for people from 14 to 70 years old.

The most notable reliefs in this phase will be the opening of the 5,500 terraces for bars and restaurants from the city, to which the city council has allowed to expand its space to comply with the stipulated security distancing measures. Social services
Preventive maintenance services for containers and litter bins are resumed from Monday, after the collection of old junk was resumed last Monday, and green points are reopened throughout their time zone. Municipal cemeteries allow visits again, although those attending outdoor burials are limited to 15 people and 10 to cremations.
The consistory also reopens 20 Social Services centers for face-to-face care and gradually recovers attention at the Citizen Attention Offices (OAC) of Sants-Montjuïc; Les Corts; Horta-Guinardó; Sant Andreu and Sant Martí, after last Monday the OAC de Sant Miquel opened.
