Paris Saint-Germain are apparently keeping their eyes and ears open for a new striker for the summer. According to “Sport”, those responsible on the Seine are thinking of Memphis Depay, among other things. It should have moved into the Parisian focus because it is still unclear whether Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will extend their contracts.
In the case of Depay, it had been assumed in recent weeks that FC Barcelona would be awarded the contract. Barça coach Ronald Koeman has already expressed public interest in working with his former protégé from the Dutch national team.
But Depay’s current employer, Olympique Lyon, has far from burying hope for a future with the 27-year-old. “I dream that he will accept our offer, which is still current,” said club president Jean-Michel Aulas at “AFP”. “He gives us so much, has been directly involved in 23 league goals so far this season. We keep the offer up and if we become masters: why not? ”
