Barbecue maker Weber apologizes for cooking Meat Loaf

Bad luck for the prestigious Weber barbecue brand. Friday, she published on her American site a meatloaf recipe: “Barbecued Meat Loaf”. Except that the same day, we learned of the death at age 74 of singer Marvin Lee Aday, better known as… Meat Loaf. This is a very indelicate tribute.

Especially since Weber had sent an email to his customers to let them discover this recipe. Customers who, shortly after, received a second message, but this time of apology, as recounted by “USA Today“. “At the time we shared this recipe with you, we were unaware of the unfortunate passing of American singer and actor Marvin Lee Aday, also known as Meat Loaf,” Weber wrote. “We want to express our sincere apologies for this and for any harm this email may have caused.”

The American company Weber, headquartered in Illinois, then offered its condolences to the singer’s family.
