Banks will operate during special hours this Monday holiday



The main banks of Puerto Rico announced that they will operate on special hours this Monday, January 20, when the civil rights activist’s holiday is celebrated Martin Luther King.

Popular reported that Monday will open from 8:00 a.m. at 12:00 p.m. the Humacao Este and Vega Alta branches, while they will operate from 9:00 a.m. at 1:00 p.m. those located in Barceloneta Outlets, Las Catalinas Mall in Caguas, Mayagüez Mall Centro and Plaza del Caribe in Ponce. They will do the same, from 9:00 a.m. at 3:00 p.m. the branches of Plaza Carolina, Plaza del Sol in Bayamón, Plaza Las Américas in San Juan and San Patricio Mall in Guaynabo.

For its part, FirstBank said that during the holiday it will offer service in nine branches located in shopping centers, during special hours of 9:00 a.m. at 1:00 p.m .: Fajardo, Humacao, Las Catalinas, Mayagüez Mall, Plaza Carolina, Plaza del Parque, Ponce Centro del Sur and San Patricio. The Plaza Las Américas branch will provide special service from 9:00 a.m. at 3:00 p.m. The rest of the branches, FirstMortgage mortgage centers and FirstBank Insurance offices will remain closed.

Meanwhile, Banco Santander Puerto Rico explained that this Monday, January 20 will offer service to the public during special hours of 9:00 a.m. at 1:00 p.m. in the branches that are in the following shopping centers: Plaza Las Américas in Hato Rey, Plaza Carolina, Mayagüez Mall, Plaza Del Caribe in Ponce, Plaza Del Sol in Bayamón, Plaza Palma Real in Humacao and The Outlets at Montehiedra. The headquarters, Santander Insurance Agency, Santander Securities and Santander Asset Management will remain closed.

In Oriental it was reported that the 23 branches located in several shopping centers that will be open to the public during the weekend are: Plaza Centro in Caguas, Las Catalinas in Caguas, Villa Blanca in Caguas, Plaza Escorial in Carolina, North Gallery in Hatillo, Humacao, Juana Díaz, Mayagüez Mall (2 branches: Oriental and old Scotiabank), Plaza Las Américas (2 branches: Oriental and old Scotiabank), Plaza del Sol (2 branches: Oriental and old Scotiabank), Cayey Square, Guayama Square , Plaza del Caribe in Ponce (2 branches: Oriental and old Scotiabank), San Patricio in Guaynabo (2 branches: Oriental and old Scotiabank), Plaza Carolina, Fajardo, Manatí and Trujillo Alto.

He added that the Contact Center will be serving customers from 8:00 a.m. at 1:00 p.m. The remaining branches of Oriental, the El Señorial service center and the administrative offices will remain closed.
