Course United States dollar (USA). experienced a strengthening against the rupee. Quoting Reuters data, on Tuesday (10/25/2022), the US dollar was at the level of Rp. 15,594. Meanwhile, according to RTI data, the US dollar strengthened by 15 points or rose 0.1% to Rp 15,556.
Along with the strengthening rate of the US dollar against the rupee, some banks also sold Uncle Sam’s currency for Rp. 15,600.
From detikcom monitoring on several banking sites, US dollars were sold for Rp. 15,600. Like Bank BCA, which has set a sell rate of IDR 15,623 and a purchase rate of IDR 15,608.
Then on the BIS Bank website, it is recorded that the sell rate is set dollar AS IDR 15,623 and the purchase rate is IDR 15.608.
Also, on the BNI website, the US dollar sell rate is Rp. 15,627 and the purchase rate is Rp. 15.607.
The exchange rate of the US dollar in the last week has increased by 0.59%. And if you look at it in one month, it recorded an increase of 2.87%. Meanwhile, the US dollar has strengthened by 9.06% against the rupee since the beginning of the year.
Course today dollar AS it tends to weaken against most world currencies. The US dollar actually only strengthened against the rupee, the yuan and the baht.
Likewise, the rupee has weakened against almost all world currencies. The rupee strengthened only against the yuan, ringgit, baht and Taiwan dollar.
