Banjo-Kazooie is coming to Switch this week

Nintendo has revealed that the N64 classic Banjo-Kazooie will be available to members of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. The much-loved game from 1998 will be available on Switch on January 20th.

The game was developed by Rare, who used to work closely with Nintendo. The studio was acquired by Microsoft in 2002 and still owns the Banjo-Kazooie rights. Craig Duncan, the studio head of Rare is happy that the studio is working with Nintendo again.

Banjo-Kazooie follows the story of the duo Banjo and Kazooie. Together they try to save Banjo’s kidnapped sister Tooty from the witch Gruntilda. With this game on the Switch, it’s the first time in 24 years that the dynamic duo has reappeared on a Nintendo Platform.
