Bandung City is Still Safe from Monkeypox Disease

PRFMNEWS – Monkeypox has become a disease that has plagued many countries since mid-May 2022.

There are 15 countries that have reported cases monkey poxone of which is a neighboring country, namely Australia.

According to the Head of UPT Puskesmas Ibrahim Adjie, dr. Adnan A. Sofyan, if monkey pox actually not classified as a dangerous and deadly virus.

“Monkeypox or monkeypox is similar to other types of smallpox. However, it is monkey pox including zoonic diseases, meaning that it can be transmitted from animals to humans,” said Adnan, quoted by prfmnews.id from the bandung.go.id page on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

Animals that transmit this smallpox virus come from wild animals such as monkeys and rodents.

Transmission from these animals can occur due to claw wounds or bites, and if someone indiscriminately consumes the meat of wild animals.
