The Haut-Mauco Golden Genêts are set to once again feature prominently in the Haut-Mauco Golden Genêts repertoire. Thomas Bertoni, the association’s president, expressed his enthusiasm, recalling playing these tunes fifteen years ago. “We are keen to maintain the traditional repertoire; the public is applicant,” he stated.

Fifty-Year Milestone

This year marks a significant milestone for the Genêts d’Or as they celebrate their 50th anniversary, which has involved numerous events leading up to their performances at the ferias.Approximately twenty musicians from the Banda will be present for the five-day Madeleine festivals. “Each year, we add one or two pieces,” Bertoni mentioned. This year’s addition is ‘Egina,’ a traditional banda song.
