The ceremonial opening of the storage facility in Iecava is scheduled for August 26 at 12.
During the opening event, there will be an opportunity to go on a tour and see what the daily life of the chickens is outside the cage, what food they are fed, as well as receive answers to questions about the development steps of JSC “Balticovo” in the near future. Vladimirs Mhitarjans, Chairman of the Board of JSC “Balticovo”, Valdis Grimze, Chairman of the Council, Toms Auškāps, Director of Communication and Development, Kaspars Gerhards, Minister of Agriculture, Juris Pūce, Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, Anna Ērliha, Executive Director of the Latvian Egg and Poultry Producers Association, Director of the Rural Support Service Ģirts Krūmiņš.
JSC “Balticovo” Iecava outside the cage laying hen complex has 400,000 hens, each house is built on three floors. The total investment of the project exceeds 10 million euros, and it has been realized within 2 years.
