Bali United Defeat Kaya FC, Keep Hope to Escape

Bali United won 1-0 against Filipino club Kaya FC in Group G AFC Cup 2022. The result made the hopes of escaping Serdadu Tridatu not fully closed.

In the match that was played at the Captain Wayan Dipta Stadium I, Gianyar, Bali, Thursday (30/6/2022), the only goal that was born was created in the first half.

In the 25th minute, there was Jajang Mulyana who successfully shook Kaya FC’s goal. The goal came from an Eber Besar free kick from the right side of the attack.

Jajang Mulyana’s header was not well anticipated by Kaya FC goalkeeper Quincy Kammeraad. 1-0 advantage Bali United survive until the final whistle is blown.

This 1-0 victory did not change the position of Bali United in second place in the standings AFF Cup 2022 in Group G. Still under Visakha FC who tops the standings.

Only one team from each group will qualify. But there is still a race for the best runner-up slot from the ASEAN Zone and the West Asia Zone.

Make Bali United, the victory against Kaya FC makes the opportunity to qualify is still open through the runner-up route. But in order to qualify, Bali United also still has to depend on their fate from the results of other group matches.
