Bali Becomes the Number One Honeymoon Destination in the World

KOMPAS.com – There is good news for tourism Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic. Reporting from Dailymail, Bali occupies the number one position as a destination honeymoon.

Bali’s position is above Hawaii and the Maldives which are also no less attractive for honeymoon destinations.

The research conducted by luxury travel company Kuoni observes patterns on the Pinterest app.

The reason is that many couples use Pinterest as a reference for the month of marriage.

In this research, tens of thousands of Pinterest boards dedicated to honeymooners were analyzed.

They calculate the most desirable places to vacation after the wedding by noting which destinations are ‘pinned’ to the boards the most. As a result, Bali is in the first position.

The second position is occupied by Italy, then Hawaii and the Maldives. Ireland and Iceland also appear on the list.

Dean Harvey, researcher from Kuoni, said that Pinterest is a valuable resource for gaining knowledge about honeymoon destinations.

“We hope this research can inspire couples who want to take the journey of a lifetime,” said Harvey.
