The Balearic Islands defends the reinforced controls from this Thursday in ports and airports and will continue to study if it closes perimeter at Easter.

The Public Health Commission has agreed that for Easter the autonomous communities will close perimeter and set the curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., in addition to limiting meetings in public or private spaces to a maximum of four people .

The Government will continue to analyze in the coming days if the Balearic Islands have to close perimeter at Easter. The regional Executive does not bet on that route; defends that of maintaining reinforced controls from this Thursday in ports and airports, and will continue to evaluate in the coming hours, whether or not the community closes at Easter.

The minister Gómez has insisted in the last hours that the Government is not in favor of the closure of the community, because it considers that there are effective measures such as controls in ports and airports, which have been active since December and have been reinforced in the last hours, hardening requirements.

Government sources point out to the SER, that they do support the measures agreed between communities and Health, to prevent infections from increasing, but in particular, the Armengol Executive does not believe that it is necessary to perimeter the archipelago.

Finally, in the agreement, let us remember, the recommendation that students not return to their place of origin is not included. The students of the Islands will be able to return home, something that the Government also supported.

In any case, all these measures agreed on Thursday must be approved by the Interterritorial Health Council on Wednesday.
