Bale Officially Strengthens LAFC, Beckham’s Club Splashes Rp 1.1 M

The Angels

Los Angeles FC (LAFC) official recruit Gareth Bale. Bale’s move also makes the club David Beckham, Inter Miami FC, splashed Rp 1.1 billion.

After no longer playing for Real Madrid, Bale decided to accept LAFC’s proposal. Bale will spend the next 12 months with the club Major League Soccer (MLS) in order to find more opportunities to play.

Because, Bale needs to be in the best condition when defending Wales at the 2022 World Cup. Bale will fly to Los Angeles to take care of his move which has been inaugurated on Monday (28/6/2022) night WIB.

“Gareth is one of the most dynamic and great players of his generation. It is a valuable opportunity for our club to be able to get a player of his talent and experience. I am delighted that Gareth’s management has made this happen. It is clear that Gareth is very motivated to continue to win trophies and we are delighted he decided to join LAFC to help us become champions,” said LAFC president and general manager John Thorrington on the club’s official website.

Bale’s presence has made LAFC even stronger this season because he had previously signed Giorgio Chiellini and extended Carlos Vela’s stay at the club. LAFC is currently in first place in the regular season Western Conference standings with 33 points from 16 matches, four points ahead of Real Salt Lake.

Bale’s joining also brings sustenance to Inter Miami FC, David Beckham’s club, which received US$75 thousand or around Rp. 1.1 billion for General Allocation Money (GAM) in 2023. This is a compensation from LAFC for Inter Miami.

Under MLS rules, clubs can include up to seven players they are interested in on a ‘wanted list’, even if they are not under contract with MLS. MLS clubs have been asked to be careful about publishing players they have had deals with, but have not registered with the league.

Because this player could be the target of other MLS clubs and they have to pay compensation if they overtake their rivals. Incidentally Bale is on Inter Miami’s target list, so it takes money to remove the name of the 32-year-old player.

“I’m very happy with this move to LAFC. It’s a great place for me and my family, and it comes at the right time in my career. I can’t wait to get to work with the team and win more trophies in Los Angeles,” he said. Gareth Bale.
