Almost one week after the flood, the inhabitants of Pepinster in Liège are licking their wounds. Baker David Alexandre (36) saw his life’s work go down because of the water. On Monday, he was visited by an insurance company. In the video above, he gives a tour of his flooded bakery.

69-year-old Christiane Mathonet Sluse was also badly hit by the storm. Her home has been destroyed, and her mother is still missing. “My mother was swept away by the waves. They have to wait until they find her,” she says.
