Baggott scores as Gillingham qualify to face Leicester in the FA Cup

Elkan Baggott he scored a goal in the win Gillingham on Dagenham and Redbridge. Baggott cs will meet Leicester City the back III Cup FOUR.

Baggott started as Gillingham hosted Fifth Division club, Dagenham & Redbridge, in the FA Cup second round replay. Playing at Priestfield Stadium, Friday (9/12/2022) in the morning WIB, Gillingham won a narrow 3-2 victory.

Gillingham were already trailing Dagenham when the match had only been underway 15 minutes after being beaten by Matt Robinson. Just 11 minutes later, Baggott scored a reply from Gillingham.

The goal came from a free kick. Ben Reeves shot for a corner from the right wing, then Baggott finished with a header from the edge of goal. Baggott’s goal made it 1-1, which lasted until halfway through the second half.

Elkan Baggott’s defending tandem, Max Ehmer, ensured Gillingham took the lead with his 77th-minute strike. However, George Saunders kept Dagenham’s hopes alive after scoring in the last seven minutes.

Hakeem Adelakun became Gillingham’s hero with his goal late in injury time, as well as securing victory over Dagenham & Redbridge.

With this victory, Gillingham are entitled to advance to the third round of the FA Cup. Elkan Baggott et al will fight against Leicester City on January 7, 2023.

Indonesian national team still hoping Gillingham is willing to let go Elkan Baggott appear on AFF Cup 2022. However, so far the League Two club has stressed that Baggott can only leave if Indonesia can progress to at least the semi-finals.
